The Recession and our Dodgers!
Now that the World Series is over, Congratulations to the 2009 World Series Champions the New York Yankees, I want to look back at what was a very good, but disappointing end for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
2009, year of the depression, a lot of homes lost, a lot of jobs lost and for us Dodgers fans another bad ending.
It all started off as a good season, everyone on the team was doing their job and the Dodgers were winning a lot but then, as one of my favorite actors, Desi Arnaz puts it, ‘The S**t hit the fan’, Manny was suspended 50 games for PED’s and Juan Pierre took over, bad thing, right? WRONG! Pierre came thru and led the Dodgers to the best record in MLB, along with the O-Dawg’s super hot start, Andre Ethier’s countless heroics, Matt Kemp blossoming into the star we all though he would be and the pitching staff doing its job , we just kept winning and us, The fans forgot bout the recession for at least 3 or 4 hours every day watching our Dodgers play, which the feeling to us was magical.
Even though our end of the season was not nice, it made the team more mature, and made us, Dodgers fans believe that everyone and anyone can be united in peace and have a great time with our Boys in Blue!!!
Hope you glad enjoyed my first blog, comments are gladly accepted, And Go Dodgers!!!
And there’s always NEXT YEAR!!!
